Properties on the Tweed Coast sit under Tweed Shire Council rules. Properties at Coolangatta, Currumbin, Tugun and up are under City of Gold Coast. The rules are different, for native trees, koala feed trees, very large trees, pest species, and trees in development zones.

Casey and the crew came and cut down and removed two 15-20 year old palms and trimmed another of all loose branches and seed pods. The job was done very professionally and everyone had the correct gear and completed the job to a very high standard with everything left clean and tidy afterwards, all palms mulched and blown in the truck for disposal. Casey started Tweed Coast Tree Surgeons in March 2024, left contracting for other companies and built his own outfit from scratch. No brand, no reviews, no Google listing. A tree lopper cuts. A qualified arborist understands the tree: how it'll respond to a cut, where it'll fail, what's safe and what isn't. We hold AQF Level 3 certification and coordinate an AQF Level 5 consulting arborist when a job needs a formal report. The cheap ute-and-chainsaw crews are usually loppers, which is fine until something goes wrong near a house or a powerline and there's no insurance behind it.
