Who you're dealing with
Built from zero in March 2024 into 44+ five-star reviews on the Tweed Coast. You call us, you get Casey. He answers the phone, does the site visit, and is on the job.
Casey started Tweed Coast Tree Surgeons in March 2024. Before that he was contracting for other tree companies: earning a wage, building nothing of his own. He registered the business with no brand, no reviews, no Google listing, and got to work.
A couple of years on, at the time of writing, the business ranks number one on Google Maps for "tree removal Tweed Heads near me", with 44+ five-star reviews and a crew that runs jobs while Casey takes a break. None of that came from marketing. It came from turning up on time, doing the work properly, and leaving every site cleaner than he found it.
We're a small outfit, and that's the point. Casey is the owner and the AQF Level 3 arborist on the tools. Bowie's the climber when the cherry picker won't fit and a tree has to come down by rope and rigging. For bigger jobs we bring extra hands. We never work solo: minimum crew of two on every job, because a ground spotter isn't a luxury, it's the safe operating standard.
Casey holds AQF Level 3 in arboriculture, the qualification for the climbing, rigging and removal work, and for identifying pest species like cocos palm under the Gold Coast rules. For Council-authorised Level 5 consulting work (dangerous-tree determinations, arborist reports, tree protection plans) we partner with an AQF Level 5 consulting arborist and coordinate it as one project. We don't claim to be something we're not. The honest version is stronger.
We're a registered NSW Government supplier on the buy.nsw marketplace, which means we've been through the vetting that government and larger commercial work requires. We carry $20M public liability, write a Safe Work Method Statement for every job, and can provide a certificate of currency on request. For strata committees, property managers and agents, that paper trail isn't a nice-to-have, it's the price of entry, and we keep it as standard.
A big tree on a property is worth protecting, right up until it becomes the thing most likely to damage the house. Our job is to read which side of that line your tree is on, and to handle it so the answer protects you either way. That means an honest assessment before any saw comes out, a documented scope, the right method for the risk, and a clean site at the end. Less "we cut trees", more "we manage the risk a tree carries". It's the difference that matters when the tree is over your roof or near the powerlines.
Every claim here is verifiable, not a sticker. Ask and we'll send the paperwork.
Meet the crew
A small, named crew, not a roster of subbies you've never met. Short intro clips of each of us are going up soon, so you know exactly who's turning up.
Owner & lead arborist · AQF Level 3
Answers the phone, does the site visit, runs the job. The one whose name is on every quote.
Climber
Up the tree when the cherry picker won't fit, rigging it down section by section. Named in the reviews for a reason.
Crew
Second climber for the bigger removals, so there are always two sets of trained hands on the ropes.
Groundsperson & chipper operator
Runs the drop zone, the rigging on the ground and the chipper. The reason the site is spotless when we leave.
Groundsperson
Extra hands for the big jobs: hauling, raking, blowing down and keeping the work moving safely.
Bookings & customer care
Keeps the quotes, the calls and the SMS follow-ups moving so nothing slips through the cracks.
Proof, not promises
Short clips that show the things every arborist claims: the qualification, the cover, and a crew of two on every job.
Straight talk
Casey's honest about who we're built for and who we're not. If you want it done properly, documented, and cleaned up, we're your crew. If you're chasing the cheapest cash job with no paperwork, we'll point you elsewhere with no hard feelings.
How we work
On the day we said, at the time we said. Your reviews will tell you that's not a slogan.
AQF Level 3 work, AS 4373 pruning, proper rigging, a SWMS for every job.
Controlled lowering, careful drops, nothing crushed in the garden next door.
Raked, swept, blown. We leave it cleaner than we found it. Every time.
