Tree removal & pruning in Currumbin

From the Currumbin beachfront to the valley acreage, two very different jobs under one council. Cocos palms with no permit at the coast, big tree work up the valley.

Currumbin is really two places: the coastal strip and Currumbin Waters near the beach, and the acreage of Currumbin Valley running back into the hinterland and the wildlife sanctuary country. We work both, and the trees couldn't be more different.

Down on the coast, Currumbin is cocos-palm country like the rest of the southern Gold Coast, and the SO5 pathway means we can take them out without a council application once Casey documents the ID. Quick, clean, and no waiting on a permit.

Up the valley it’s a completely different job. Acreage blocks, big old eucalypts, rainforest species, and wildlife to plan around given the sanctuary corridor. These are the removals that need a crane or an EWP and proper rigging, plus a wildlife spotter where there’s a chance of disturbing fauna. For a dangerous valley tree, the Gold Coast lets a Council-authorised Level 5 arborist sign it off so it can come down without a full application, and we coordinate that L5 partner so it’s one quote and one process.

Access is the part people forget on acreage. A lot of Currumbin Valley and Currumbin Waters blocks sit at the end of a long, narrow driveway, so before we quote we walk it to check the crane or EWP can actually reach the tree and set up on firm ground. We work out where to stage the truck and chipper, lay protection over soft lawn and pavers so the gear doesn’t chew up your driveway, and plan the lift so limbs come out over clear ground rather than the house or the fence line. Getting that sorted up front is what keeps the job to one tidy visit instead of a scramble on the day.

Reviews from across the coast

Casey and his crew were very professional. They were on time and left the property cleaner than they found it. All members of his team made it a point to greet me and my wife. I would recommend them over and over. Casey is a calm professional business owner and runs an amazing crew.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Casey from the onset. He made the very difficult job of removing a large Hoop Pine from our property both safe, cost effective and most importantly possible. Bowie, as the climber, methodically worked to lower section by section the limbs and trunk within a very cramped and access impaired area on our property. Nothing was a problem and we really appreciated their honest approach to our job. The job area was left spotless and they worked tirelessly to achieve an amazing result. Don't waste your time getting other quotes, these guys are the absolute best!

Had Casey and the boys at my joint to chop up and mulch a huge African tulip tree that went over during Alfred. Could not be happier. They were on time to the minute, set up quickly, we had a quick chat to double check a couple of details and then off they went. The work was done with minimal impact to the location and raked, swept and blowered, spotless. The quality of work and the genuinely nice guys make them easy to recommend. Do it. Thanks again lads.

Asked about Currumbin

Can you do the big jobs up Currumbin Valley on acreage?

Yes. Long-driveway acreage, large eucalypts and rainforest species near homes are our work. We bring a crane or cherry picker where the access is too tight to fell, plan for wildlife near the sanctuary corridor, and on dangerous trees coordinate an AQF Level 5 SO6 determination through our partner so the removal can happen without a full application.

Do I need a permit to remove a cocos palm in Currumbin Waters?

No application is needed. Cocos palm is one of the listed pest species the City of Gold Coast lets you remove under SO5, so on a typical Currumbin Waters block we document the AQF Level 3 ID, take the palm out and clean up the same day. We keep the paperwork on file in case the council ever asks, and the same pathway covers the other listed pest species on your property.
