Tree removal & pruning in Cabarita Beach

Beachside tree work for Cabarita Beach, Bogangar and Hastings Point, from coastal figs and pandanus to the cocos palms dropping fronds on the deck.

Cabarita Beach (Bogangar to the locals) is classic Tweed beachside: figs, pandanus and a lot of palms, all of it taking the full force of the salt and the wind off Norries Headland. Holiday and residential mix, so timing and a clean finish matter.

Most Cabarita work is coastal maintenance: keeping the palms and figs in check so they’re not dropping fronds on the pool or limbs on the roof when it blows. The exposed blocks near the beach cop the worst of the salt and wind, and trees that look fine can be quietly stressed and shedding.

There’s a steady run of holiday-rental work here too. Owners and managers want a crew that turns up when it says, does the job between guests, and leaves the place spotless. That’s our whole reputation, so it fits. Anything on the headland or foreshore, we check the protection status first, because some of that coastal vegetation is off-limits without approval.

A lot of the beachside blocks here are tight, with narrow side access, shared driveways and pools or decks right under the canopy, so there’s no room to just drop a limb and clean up after. We rig and lower sections by hand where we have to, set up to protect the pool, fence and neighbour’s place, and cart the green waste out rather than dragging it across your yard. We are AQF Level 3 qualified and carry $20M public liability, so working in close quarters next door to someone else’s holiday let is no drama. Give us a call on 0474 250 832 and we will sort the access before we quote.

Reviews from across the coast

Casey and his crew were very professional. They were on time and left the property cleaner than they found it. All members of his team made it a point to greet me and my wife. I would recommend them over and over. Casey is a calm professional business owner and runs an amazing crew.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Casey from the onset. He made the very difficult job of removing a large Hoop Pine from our property both safe, cost effective and most importantly possible. Bowie, as the climber, methodically worked to lower section by section the limbs and trunk within a very cramped and access impaired area on our property. Nothing was a problem and we really appreciated their honest approach to our job. The job area was left spotless and they worked tirelessly to achieve an amazing result. Don't waste your time getting other quotes, these guys are the absolute best!

Had Casey and the boys at my joint to chop up and mulch a huge African tulip tree that went over during Alfred. Could not be happier. They were on time to the minute, set up quickly, we had a quick chat to double check a couple of details and then off they went. The work was done with minimal impact to the location and raked, swept and blowered, spotless. The quality of work and the genuinely nice guys make them easy to recommend. Do it. Thanks again lads.

Asked about Cabarita Beach

Are the foreshore and Norries Headland trees protected?

Some are. Foreshore reserves and coastal-dune vegetation can carry extra protection on top of the usual Tweed Shire rules. Before any work near the dunes or the headland we identify which category the tree falls under and whether an application is needed.

Can you storm-proof my trees before the wet season?

Yes, and on the exposed Cabarita and Bogangar blocks it is worth doing. We thin out heavy or one-sided canopies so the wind moves through rather than against them, clear dead and split limbs that come down first in a blow, and take the loose frond and seed-pod load off the cocos palms. Booking a pre-season tidy in autumn means less chance of a limb on the roof when the summer storms roll in off the coast.
