Tree removal & pruning in Tweed Heads South

The big residential heart of the border. Older fibro-and-brick streets, units and canal estates across Tweed Heads South and Tweed Heads West, all under NSW Tweed Shire rules.

Tweed Heads South is the large residential spread behind the border strip, and with Tweed Heads West it's some of our busiest local ground. It's mature suburban streets where trees planted small in the seventies are now well over the house, a lot of units and townhouses where the trees are common property, and canal estates with tight access for a truck and chipper.

Tweed Heads South is where most of the border’s actual living happens: the big residential streets, the units, the canal estates, all set back from the tourist strip. With Tweed Heads West right beside it, this is some of the most constant work we do. The trees are classic mature-suburb trees, planted small decades ago and now genuinely large, often crowding a fibro-and-brick home or leaning toward the lines.

A lot of the work here is units and townhouses, where the tree is common property and the job needs a body corporate sign-off before anyone touches it. The canal and waterfront estates bring the opposite problem: a straightforward-looking tree, but no room to get the truck and chipper near it. Both are everyday jobs for us, and we plan the access and the paperwork up front.

The one thing that catches people out is the border. You can stand in Tweed Heads South and look across at Queensland, but your tree is under Tweed Shire (NSW), with its own thresholds and protected categories. We confirm which pathway applies before quoting, every time, so there are no surprises once the work starts.

Reviews from across the coast

Casey and his crew were very professional. They were on time and left the property cleaner than they found it. All members of his team made it a point to greet me and my wife. I would recommend them over and over. Casey is a calm professional business owner and runs an amazing crew.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Casey from the onset. He made the very difficult job of removing a large Hoop Pine from our property both safe, cost effective and most importantly possible. Bowie, as the climber, methodically worked to lower section by section the limbs and trunk within a very cramped and access impaired area on our property. Nothing was a problem and we really appreciated their honest approach to our job. The job area was left spotless and they worked tirelessly to achieve an amazing result. Don't waste your time getting other quotes, these guys are the absolute best!

Had Casey and the boys at my joint to chop up and mulch a huge African tulip tree that went over during Alfred. Could not be happier. They were on time to the minute, set up quickly, we had a quick chat to double check a couple of details and then off they went. The work was done with minimal impact to the location and raked, swept and blowered, spotless. The quality of work and the genuinely nice guys make them easy to recommend. Do it. Thanks again lads.

Asked about Tweed Heads South

Is Tweed Heads South under Gold Coast or NSW rules?

NSW Tweed Shire, the same as Tweed Heads itself. The Queensland border is close enough to see, but your tree is under Tweed Shire's thresholds, fees and protected categories, not the Gold Coast's. Sorting that out before we quote is exactly the catch we handle for people on this side.

Do you also cover Tweed Heads West?

Yes. Tweed Heads West sits right alongside Tweed Heads South and we work it just as often: the same older streets, units and access challenges, and the same Tweed Shire (NSW) rules. One local crew covers the lot.
