Tree removal & rural-block work in Bilambil

The village below our base. Acreage gums, horse-property clearing and tight rural access through Bilambil, Bungalora, Cobaki, Piggabeen and Carool, all handled by a crew that's local.

Bilambil is the rural pocket just below our Bilambil Heights base, so it's about as local as a job gets for us. It's bigger blocks, horse properties and genuine acreage, with large old gums and camphor laurels that need a crane or an EWP and the room to use them. We're across the same rural roads every week, including Bungalora, Cobaki, Cobaki Lakes, Piggabeen and Carool.

Bilambil is home turf. Our base is up the hill at Bilambil Heights, so the village and the rural blocks around it are some of the closest jobs we do. Out here it’s acreage, horse properties and big rural holdings, and the trees match: large old gums, the occasional enormous camphor laurel, and natives that have had decades to get serious. When one of those needs to come down near a house or a shed, it’s crane or EWP work, and it needs the room and the rigging to do it in control.

The same goes for the localities that sit around Bilambil. We’re regularly through Bungalora, Cobaki, Cobaki Lakes, Piggabeen and Carool, and the work has the same character: bigger blocks, longer driveways, and access that has to be sorted before the machinery turns up. Being based next door means we can look at it fast.

It’s all Tweed Shire (NSW), so the council rules are the ones we know best. The large gums are frequently in the protected “very large tree” category, and on rural-zoned land the rules can sit with Local Land Services instead of the council. We tell you which applies to your block, and write the scope to match, before any chainsaw work starts.

Common tree jobs in Bilambil

  • Very large established gums on acreage, often over the protected-tree threshold
  • Long driveways and paddock access that decide whether a crane or EWP can get in
  • Camphor laurels gone large on rural blocks (a weed, but still permit-bound once big)
  • Hazard and vegetation management across horse properties and bigger holdings

Reviews from across the coast

Casey and his crew were very professional. They were on time and left the property cleaner than they found it. All members of his team made it a point to greet me and my wife. I would recommend them over and over. Casey is a calm professional business owner and runs an amazing crew.

It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Casey from the onset. He made the very difficult job of removing a large Hoop Pine from our property both safe, cost effective and most importantly possible. Bowie, as the climber, methodically worked to lower section by section the limbs and trunk within a very cramped and access impaired area on our property. Nothing was a problem and we really appreciated their honest approach to our job. The job area was left spotless and they worked tirelessly to achieve an amazing result. Don't waste your time getting other quotes, these guys are the absolute best!

Had Casey and the boys at my joint to chop up and mulch a huge African tulip tree that went over during Alfred. Could not be happier. They were on time to the minute, set up quickly, we had a quick chat to double check a couple of details and then off they went. The work was done with minimal impact to the location and raked, swept and blowered, spotless. The quality of work and the genuinely nice guys make them easy to recommend. Do it. Thanks again lads.

Asked about Bilambil

Do you cover the rural localities around Bilambil?

Yes. Because we're based at Bilambil Heights right next door, we're across Bilambil, Bungalora, Cobaki, Cobaki Lakes, Piggabeen and Carool constantly. Acreage and rural blocks are our everyday work, and being this local means we can usually get to you quickly.

My Bilambil block is rural-zoned. Whose rules apply to my trees?

It depends on the zoning. Rural-zoned land often falls under the Local Land Services Act rather than Tweed Shire's tree DCP, while rural-residential and village land stays with the council. We check which set covers your block before we quote, so the pathway is right from the start.
