Terranora is where the coast turns rural. Bigger blocks, acreage, dams and some genuinely large old eucalypts and camphor laurels. There's more room than on the coast, but long driveways and big trees bring their own access and machinery questions.
Terranora jobs tend to be bigger in every sense: bigger blocks, bigger trees, and more often than not a crane or an EWP to do it safely. The old gums out here can be massive, and when one’s dead, leaning or hanging over the house, it’s not a job for a bloke with a ladder. Camphor laurel is the other Terranora regular. It’s a declared weed, so people assume it’s a free-for-all, but once it’s a very large tree it still needs a council permit. We sort that out, and because some rural blocks fall under Local Land Services rather than the council’s DCP, we check which set of rules your land sits under first.
